Louvers!!
1.6 Liters of Pony power.
The tachometer said 66,000km. Seems accurate enough given the condition.

Import from Dutchland, they were made from 76 to 91 after all. They are also worthless because most have Renault engines and Variomatic CVTs.

Many came with manuals and some with actual Volvo engines (Volvo 360). None of that had a huge impact on these cars having been economically worthless for a very long time.

I would definitely rather look for one with the B20 and the 5 speed, I'm pretty sure that was a thing...

Early 340s were Variomatic only. Those were usually owned by old people so their survivability rate is very high. 360s are somewhat popular with budget drifters and thus usually modified and often trashed. Neither really go beyond €3k. Making them much better Value than a 1980s Toyota Hiace Van.

This is fantastic! What would make it sort of fun to drive is the 1.6L with a 5spd Manual. It’s the original RWD Hyundai. This being the GLS, it’s one of the top of the line models. :)
It had some famous people in its design History:
George Turnbull , the former Managing Director of Austin Morris at British Leyland in 1974
The famous
Italdesign Giugiaro
, developed the Hyundai Pony Body.
Here’s another one in Toronto that was found. 110,000KM, all original with a 1.4L and 4spd Manual. Still a solid driver that is being slowly restored back to original.
